Judge David Poarch will be retiring after 18 years as Presiding Judge on June 30, 2021.
The written nomination of Drew Nichols as Presiding Judge, Blaine Nice as Associate Judge, and David Poarch as Acting Judge was approved by City Council on June 9. In accordance with Section 14-201 of the Code of the City of Norman, the above-described item appears on City Council's agenda in order to that the appointments of Drew Nichols as Presiding Judge, Blaine Nice as Associate Judge, and David Poarch as Acting Judge of the Municipal Criminal Court each for a term beginning July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022, may be confirmed.
