FROM INDIAN HILLS ROAD TO S.W. 34TH STREET (ONE MILE NORTH) AND BUDGET TRANSFER BETWEEN ACCOUNTS AS OUTLINED IN THE STAFF REPORT.

BACKGROUND: The City of Norman Public Works Department has been in discussion with neighboring communities and representatives of Cleveland County, Oklahoma about an opportunity to collaborate in the maintenance and reconstruction of 48th Avenue N.W. (also known as Santa Fe Avenue) from Indian Hills Road, one (1) mile north to S.W. 34th Street in Moore.
Cleveland County will implement and oversee the reconstruction on this one (1) mile of rural two-lane, section line roadway; portions of which are located within the limits of Norman, Moore, Oklahoma City, and unincorporated Cleveland County, Oklahoma.
DISCUSSION: Cleveland County, Oklahoma is requesting to enter into an agreement with the City of Norman, Oklahoma for the maintenance and reconstruction of 48th Avenue N.W (aka Santa Fe Avenue), from Indian Hills Road, one (1) mile north to S.W. 34th Street for roadway repair and resurfacing. These discussions have resulted in a proposed agreement by and between City of Norman, Oklahoma and Cleveland County, Oklahoma to share labor, equipment, materials, and funding of reconstruction attributable to the portion of the project being completed in each city's limits. The funding requested for participation in this project has been established based upon an Engineer's Estimate provided by Cleveland County, Oklahoma in the amount of $125,000.
