CONSIDERATION OF GRANT OF EASEMENT E-2021-75 TO OKLAHOMA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE FOR INSTALLATION OF UNDERGROUND FACILITIES FOR A NEW WATER WELL LOCATED IN FALLS LAKEVIEW PARK.

BACKGROUND: The FYE15 Water Wells/Supply Lines Project is nearing completion. This project installed 9 new water wells in NE Norman. One of the well sites requires Oklahoma Electric Cooperative (OEC) to install an underground electric service line across a portion of the Falls Lakeview Park in NE Norman. This electrical feed will supply the NUA water well that is nearing completion.
The proposed line has been surveyed and a description of the easement appears on Exhibit “A” within the easement agreement.
DISCUSSION: OEC has prepared the necessary documentation to request the Grant of Easement. Parks, Planning, and Utilities staff have reviewed the proposal and determined that the granting of this easement is appropriate and will not interfere with any current or planned future development of this site.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that City Council approve the Easement Number 2021-75, a Grant of Easement to OEC.
