RESOLUTION R-1819-67: A RESOLUTION OF THE TRUSTEES OF THE NORMAN MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY APPROPRIATING $103,800 FROM THE WESTWOOD FUND BALANCE TO BE USED FOR THE OPERATION OF THE WESTWOOD GOLF COURSE RESTAURANT.

BACKGROUND: On 25 September 2012, City Council approved Contract K-1213-83 with Deryck Courange D/B/A Cour Par Grill, LLC for the operation of the Westwood Golf Course restaurant. Mr. Courange operated the restaurant in a professional manner for more than six years. He gave notice that he was terminating Contract K-1213-83 on Oct 15, 2018 in order to transition to other business ventures.
DISCUSSION: As a result of Mr. Courange’s contract termination, the Parks and Recreation Department has decided to take over the operation of the Westwood Golf Course restaurant. Due to this occurring in the middle of the fiscal year, a budget now needs to be appropriated for the operation of the restaurant. At this time, Staff is proposing the approval of this budget appropriation in order to operate the Westwood Golf Course restaurant.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends appropriation of the projected revenues in the amount of $103,800 from Westwood Fund Balance (Account 029-0000-253.20-00) to Concession Supplies (Account 029-7035-451.31-28).
