BACKGROUND: Craig & Streight Orthodontics, PLLC presented the City of Norman Animal Welfare Center with a donation in the amount of $300. In accordance with City Code, Section 8-111, any donation in excess of $250 must be accepted by the City Council. This item is being brought forward for that purpose.
DISCUSSION: This is a private, unsolicited donation for the care of animals at the Norman Animal Welfare Center. It was provided by mail with no stipulations or requests for a specific purpose.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the $300 donation be accepted and deposited into the General Fund / Animal Control Account (010-0000-227.24-31).
