BACKGROUND: On November 24, 2015, City Council approved contract K-1516-84 with Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd. The East Library is currently under construction adjacent to the Fire Station #9 on East Alameda Street.

The amendment also covers costs to help with site design and assistance for the new public art piece at the Library ($2,238).

The amendment also covers an additional 14 weeks of construction administration due to extended construction contract time. The original contract anticipated 52 weeks for duration of project construction. Construction time is now anticipated at 64 weeks, and the additional construction administration services to June 1, 2018. The anticipated total for these construction administration services is $27,800.
