SYNOPSIS: St. Thomas More is requesting Special Use for a Church, Temple or Other Place of Worship in order to conduct related church activities and religious education classes on two parcels; one zoned R-1, Single Family Dwelling District and the other R-3, Multi-Family Dwelling District.

ANALYSIS: St. Thomas More is a growing congregation and seeks to utilize the existing structures for classroom space for religious education and church activities. They currently own the parcels. Both structures will remain and only interior renovations are being proposed at this time; no expansion or additions are proposed currently.

OTHER AGENCY COMMENTS:

PUBLIC WORKS: Currently all unplatted parcels under their ownership are going through the Preliminary Platting process and all required documents have been submitted for staff review.

PRE-DEVELOPMENT: Pre-Development meeting, Case No. PD-14-08 was held on April 24, 2014; the only attendees were the applicant's representative, Mr. Harold Heiple and a staff member.

GREENBELT COMMISSION: Greenbelt Commission meeting, Case No. GBC 14-06 was held on April 21, 2014. Greenbelt Commission met to discuss the Land Use Plan Amendment and Preliminary Plat.
