BACKGROUND: On September 13, 2016, the City Council acting as the Norman Municipal Authority approved Contract K-1617-60 for the construction of two new outdoor tennis courts at Westwood Tennis Center. These courts were built as the first phase of the Norman Forward project to make improvements to the Tennis Center. The contract was awarded to Merritt Tennis & Track Systems in the amount of $230,280.
DISCUSSION: On 20 April, 2016, staff did final inspections of the project and found it to be complete as per specifications and recommended acceptance and final closeout.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that Norman Municipal Authority accept the Norman Forward Westwood Tennis Center Two Outdoor Court Addition Project as complete and approve final payment to Merritt Tennis & Track System in the amount of $31,464. Funding for the project is available in Project NFB007, Westwood Tennis Center Addition, Construction (051-9364-451.61-01).
