SYNOPSIS: The applicant, Sooner Mobile Home Redevelopment, L.L.C. has submitted a request to rezone property from an existing mobile home and RV park currently zoned; C-1, Local Commercial District, R-3, Multi-family Dwelling District, RM-4, Mobile Home Park District and A-2, Rural Agricultural District into a PUD, Planned Unit Development for a student based housing project. The land under review was set aside on the first long range plan as High Density Residential. This designation of High Density Residential use was changed on the COMPLAN to Medium Density Residential in 1981. The NORMAN 2020 changed the area to High Density Residential in 1997. Then in 2004 the NORMAN 2025 Land Use and Transportation Plan changed the designation to Low Density Residential.

ANALYSIS: The particulars of this PUD include:

USE: As proposed, the project will be a student based housing development focusing on the University of Oklahoma student population as residents.

DESIGN: There will be two gated entrances for this PUD. One entrance will be from Classen Street and the second from Constitution Street. Both Classen Street and Constitution Street extend through the proposed commercial development located west of the area for the PUD.
