CONSIDERATION OF A FINAL PLAT FOR 24TH AVENUE CHURCH OF CHRIST ADDITION AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC DEDICATIONS CONTAINED THEREIN.  (GENERALLY LOCATED ONE-HALF MILE SOUTH OF EAST LINDSEY STREET ON THE WEST SIDE OF 24TH AVENUE S.E)

BACKGROUNDThis item is a final plat for 24th Avenue Church of Christ Addition and is located at 1660 24th Avenue S.E. (one-half mile south of East Lindsey Street on the west side of 24th Avenue S.E.).  This proposal consists of 2.49 acres and one church site with a proposed structure.  The City Development Committee, at its meeting on September 4, 2019, reviewed and approved the program of public improvements, site plan and final plat for 24th Avenue Church of Christ Addition and submitted to City Council for consideration.

 

DISCUSSION:  This final plat is consistent with the approved preliminary plat.  The public improvements required of this plat consist of water mains with fire hydrant.  Storm water will be conveyed to privately maintained detention facility.  24th Avenue S.E. street paving is existing.

 

RECOMMENDATIONBased upon the above information, staff recommends acceptance of the public dedications, approval of the site plan and final plat and the filing of the final plat, subject to completion of public improvements or bonding.  The City Development Committee will ensure completion of all required public improvements or bonds and will recommend that the Mayor sign the final plat and bonds.
