BACKGROUND: Annie’s Rescue Foundation has presented the City of Norman Animal Welfare Center with a donation in the amount of $11,933.55. In accordance with City Code, Section 8-111, any donation in excess of $250 must be accepted by the City Council. This item is being brought forward for that purpose.
DISCUSSION: This is a donation provided to the Norman Animal Welfare Center by Annie’s Rescue Foundation. This is a private donation for the care of animals at the Norman Animal Welfare Center. It was provided by mail with no stipulations or requests for a specific purpose.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the $11,933.55 donation be accepted and deposited into the Miscellaneous Revenues / Contributions / Donations / Animal Welfare Account (10-22431).
