Title
SUBMISSION OF SEWER LINE PERMIT NO. SL000014130438 ISSUED BY THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (ODEQ) FOR THE 2011 SEWER MAINTENANCE PROJECT.
Body
BACKGROUND: In 2001, the citizens of Norman approved a five dollar per month maintenance fee providing for the systematic replacement of aged and deteriorated sewer lines throughout our system. The annual Sewer Maintenance Project is rehabilitative in nature, generally bounded by Alameda to the north, Bishop Creek to the west, partially Boyd and partially Brooks to the south, and Shiloh to the east. It will replace about 38,000 feet (7 miles) of sewer line and replace or rehabilitate about 220 manholes.
DISCUSSION: A Permit to Construct is required from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) for the project. Staff submitted design plans to ODEQ on April 19, 2013. ODEQ issued a Permit to Construct on June 6, 2013.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council note receipt of ODEQ Permit No. SL000014130438, issued June 6, 2013, and make it permanent record.
