BACKGROUND: The City of Norman’s Traffic Control Division utilizes galvanized steel posts, sign faces, and aluminum materials for the manufacturing of street signs.
DISCUSSION: Every year, the City of Norman enters into several supply agreements for the materials needed in our signing operations. Under these agreements, we purchase operating equipment and supplies as they are needed. Bid No. 1213-27 Traffic Signs and Accessories was opened on September 6, 2012. Bid packets were sent to seven (7) vendors and bids were received from six (6) including: Custom Products Corp (Jackson, MS), Hall Signs, Inc (Bloomington, IN), Vulcan Signs (Foley, AL), American Sign Brackets (Green Forest, AR), Centerline Supply, LTD (Grand Prairie, TX), MD Solutions (Dublin, OH), and Rocal, Inc (Frankfort, OH).
The budget for this particular item, Bid Number 1213-27 (All Sections), is in the Traffic Sign Materials Account Number 010-5023-429.32-13, with a budget amount of $44,480.
