BACKGROUND:  A claim has been filed by the Homeowners Association for Woodstock Condominiums located at 1932 E. Lindsey, Norman, OK  73071, in the amount of $6,835 for replacement and installation of concrete in the west side parking lot due to its allegation that the concrete was undermined by, and subsequently failed due to, the City's failure to compact properly the soil surrounding the subject area after a water main break on June 15, 2011.  Because this matter involves potential litigation, the merits were discussed in a privileged and confidential memorandum dated August 29, 2014.
 
RECOMMENDATION:  Based upon the information provided in the privileged and confidential memorandum, it is recommended by the City Attorney's Office that the claim of the Homeowners Association for Woodstock Condominiums in the amount of $6,835 be approved by Council.
