EASEMENT E-1617-51: CONSIDERATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF A PERMANENT DRAINAGE EASEMENT DONATED BY MATHIS BROTHERS TULSA, LLC. SERVING LOT 2A, UNIVERSITY NORTH PARK SECTION XII.

BACKGROUND: The final plat for Lot 2A, University North Park Section XII: NE ¼, Section 23, T9N R3W I.M. was approved by City Council on May 9, 2014. The property is zoned as PUD and is located on the east side of Interstate Drive and just north of Conference Drive. This development parcel contains 1.7 acres. The site improvements include a building and parking lot for Mathis Brothers furniture store.
DISCUSSION: Public improvements were installed as part of the development of University North Park Section XII. The plat was filed of record in the Cleveland County Clerk’s office on May 14, 2014. The property owners have submitted an additional public drainage easement due to a lot line adjustment, which changed the configuration of the lot. That action required that the existing stormwater pipeline be extended to the property line to include the additional lot area. The public drainage easement has been donated by the owners. The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed the easement as to form.
RECOMMENDATION: Based upon the above information, it is the recommendation of staff that Easement E-1617-51, utilized for a drainage easement be approved.
