CONSIDERATION OF GRANTING EASEMENT NO. E-1213-3 TO OKLAHOMA GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY (OG&E) FOR SERVICE TO THE WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY (WRF).
ACTION NEEDED: Motion to grant or deny Easement No. E-1213-3; and, if granted, direct the execution thereof.

BACKGROUND: In August 2009, staff received notice of award for an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) administered by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to fund energy improvements at the WRF. On December 28, 2010, the Norman Utilities Authority (NUA) approved Contract K-1011-42 with Oil Capital Electric, LLC (OCE) for the work. As the project nears completion staff asked, and OG&E agreed, to modify their electric power service lines to insure redundant service at both the aeration blowers and the Westside Lift Station, critical facilities in the WRF process.
DISCUSSION: In order for OG&E to provide maintenance service on their modified lines and newly installed transformers, an access and maintenance easement is needed. No cost is associated with this item.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval and granting of Easement No. E-1213-3.
