title
RESOLUTION R-1617-37: A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORMAN, OKLAHOMA, CHANGING A STREET NAME FROM KESTRAL COURT TO LALEH COURT IN THE FINAL PLAT OF EAGLE CLIFF SOUTH ADDITION, SECTION 5, CITY OF NORMAN, OKLAHOMA.
body
BACKGROUND: The final plat for Eagle Cliff South Addition, Section 5, was filed with the Cleveland County Clerk on April 15, 2016.
DISCUSSION: City staff and the developer are requesting that a new street named KESTRAL COURT be changed to LALEH COURT because the street name could be confused with the existing street name of KESTREL COURT located in Sutton Place Addition, Section 7 filed of record on May 23, 2003.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff is recommending the street name change and the developer has submitted a new street name. City staff has checked the City’s street name atlas to verify no duplications. Currently there are no houses occupied at this time within the new cul-de-sac for Eagle Cliff South Addition, Section 5. Subject to approval by the City Council, Resolution R-1617-37 will be filed with the Cleveland County Clerk. The filed documents will be distributed to various agencies within the City. Maps and atlas have been drawn with the original named placed on them. If approved, these maps will be changed to reflect the new name and new street name signs will be installed.
