CONSIDERATION OF A FINAL PLAT FOR DOLLAR GENERAL ALAMEDA ADDITION AND ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC DEDICATIONS CONTAINED THEREIN. (GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF ALAMEDA DRIVE APPROXIMATELY ONE-FOURTH MILE EAST OF 72ND AVENUE N.E.)

BACKGROUND: This item is a final plat for Dollar General Alameda Addition and is generally located on the north side of Alameda Drive approximately one-quarter of a mile east of 72nd Avenue N.E. This property consists of 2.02 acres and one commercial lot.
City Council, at its meeting of October 23, 2012, adopted Ordinance No. O-1213-12, placing this property in CR, Rural Commercial, and removing it from A-2, Rural Agricultural. Also, City Council approved the preliminary plat for Dollar General Alameda Addition. Planning Commission, on November 8, 2012, approved the final plat for Dollar General Alameda Addition.
DISCUSSION: Public improvements consist of a ten-foot (10') width paved shoulder.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: The final plat is consistent with the preliminary plat. Based upon the above information, staff recommends approval of the final plat, acceptance of the public dedication contained therein and authorized the Mayor to sign the final plat and bond/cash surety for Dollar General Alameda Addition, subject to completion and/or bond/cash surety securing the public improvements and the City Development Committee's acceptance of the public improvements and bond.
