Title
SUBMISSION OF THE CITIZEN'S PUBLIC SAFETY OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE SEMI-ANNUAL REPORT.

Body
The Public Safety Committee was established through Ordinance O-0708-32 adopted March 11, 2008.  The Ordinance provides that the Citizen's Public Safety Oversight Committee (CPSOC) shall review the expenditure of revenues collected to determine if such funds are expended for the purposes specified in the Ordinance, monitoring the successful implementation of community policing concepts, and issuing reports to Council.

The Citizen's Public Safety Oversight Committee 2014 Semi-Annual Report was approved by a vote of 3 to 2 at the Public Safety Oversight Committee Meeting on August 14, 2014, with the recommendation that it be forwarded to City Council as required by Ordinance O-0708-32.  Members Keith Allen and Matthew Leal opposed the approval of the report.  Member Lea Greenleaf abstained due to his recent appointment.  Members Eddie Sims and Steve Lucas were absent.

At the February 13, 2014 CPSOC meeting, the Committee approved to change the Committee's Annual Report from a calendar year basis to a fiscal year basis to match the City's financial fiscal year.  It was agreed that a January to June 2014 report would be submitted to Council and then the next annual report would be for fiscal year ending 2015 (July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015).
