BACKGROUND: On 9 December 2014, City Council approved RFP Number 1415-25 for the Castlerock Park Playground Project. Included in this project was the addition of new playground equipment to the existing playground. The new playground equipment included new swings, a new slide, track glide, climbing wall, May pole, spring rider toys, and a new ADA entry along with engineered wood fiber safety surfacing.
DISCUSSION: The Castlerock Park Playground Project was awarded to Play Power LT Farmington Inc. in the amount of $35,938. One partial payment was made during the construction process.
On 20 April 2015, City of Norman Parks and Recreation Staff inspected the new playground and found it to be complete as per specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that City Council accept the Castlerock Park Playground Project as complete and authorize final payment in the amount of $1,796.90 to Play Power LT Farmington, Inc. Funding is available in Castlerock Park (#052-9608-452.6101- PR0154).
