CONTRACT K-2021-87: A PROJECT AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF NORMAN, OKLAHOMA, AND THE OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (ODOT) FOR PROJECT STP-214(D)(113)AG, STATE JOB 34983(04), FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF ALAMEDA STREET AND SUMMIT LAKES BOULEVARD/LOCHWOOD DRIVE AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION R-2021-80.

BACKGROUND: The 2012 - Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21) federal transportation funding bill allocates approximately $21 Million in Federal funds per year for the implementation of eligible transportation improvements in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Traffic impact fees are available to cover a large portion of the difference.

The intersection serves large residential subdivisions on the north and south sides of Alameda Street (an aerial photo of this area is included in Attachment No. 1).
