Title
RESOLUTION NO. R-1314-143:  A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORMAN, OKLAHOMA, TRANSFERRING $10,000 THAT HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY DONATED FROM THE ANIMAL WELFARE EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT TO THE CAPITAL PROJECT ACCOUNT FOR THE ANIMAL WELFARE RENOVATION PROJECT.

Body
BACKGROUND:  Resolution R-1314-127 was adopted May 13, 2014, appropriating $21,103 from Other/Animal Control Account (010-0000-227.24-31) to be used to provide upgrades to the Animal Welfare Renovation Project including the addition of a cat porch and to purchase furnishings for the group cat rooms.  These funds were donated by family, friends, citizens and others who shared a love for pets in memory of Sara Maisano.

DISCUSSION:  The Police Department requested that the appropriation be split out to designate $10,000 to Animal Shelter Renovation Project, Construction (050-9699-441.61-01; Project BG0246) and $11,103 to Project No. PD0010, Animal Control Cat Porch Equipment (010-6070-441.36-99; Project PD0010).  The Resolution inadvertently requested an appropriation of all of the money into Project No. PD0010, Animal Control Cat Porch Equipment (010-6070-441.36-99) and it is necessary to transfer  $10,000 to the Animal Welfare capital project account to correct this oversight.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:  That $10,000 be transferred from Project No. PD0010, Animal Control Cat Porch Equipment (010-6070-441.36-99) to Project No. BG0246, Animal Welfare Renovation Project, Construction (050-9699-441.61-01) as originally intended when the resolution was adopted in May.
