INFORMATION: City Council, in its meeting of March 13, 2012, approved Contract No. K-1112-114 with Carollo Engineers, Inc., in the amount of $385,947 to prepare the 2020 Strategic Water Supply Plan. A citizens' committee was appointed on May, 2012, for the following purposes: To ensure open and two-way dialogue between the project and the community; to make sure the project continues on track and on schedule; to ensure the options and suggestions of the public for potential water supplies are addressed; to assist in evaluating non-monetary criteria for potential water supply sources; and to understand and be able to communicate the objectives and conclusions of the Stormwater Strategic Plan to the public. There are presently two vacancies on the committee. Bob Thompson is being appointed to replace Al Atkins who has resigned and Matthew Leal will replace Chris Lohne who has resigned.
