BACKGROUND: Contract No. K-1314-118 is a 3-Party Agreement between the Board of Cleveland County Commissioners, the City of Oklahoma City and the City of Norman, for the cooperative roadway street resurfacing of SE 149th Street from Choctaw Road (aka 120th Ave NE) to Indian Meridian (aka 132nd Ave NE). SE 149th is considered Stella Road in the City of Norman. The Norman city limit line is located along the centerline of SE 149th Street (Stella Road). Therefore, the south half of the roadway is located in Norman. The Board of Cleveland County Commissioners approved this contract in its meeting of January 27, 2014.

DESCRIPTION: The City of Oklahoma City is proposing to fund a project to repave SE 149th Street for one (1) mile where the south side of the road is located in the City of Norman for one (1) mile and the City of Oklahoma City on the north side for one (1) mile. The agreement provides for Cleveland County to provide labor, equipment and materials. The City of Norman is providing labor, equipment and supervision to perform the asphalt paving. The City of Oklahoma City is providing all of the necessary funds for the materials required for the one (1) mile project in an amount not to exceed $125,000. The repaved roadway is being constructed per the City of Oklahoma City standards which are very similar to the current standards adopted by the City of Norman. By combining the resources of Cleveland County, the City of Oklahoma City and the City of Norman, the City is able to improve this joint section line road at a considerable savings to all citizens.
