SUBMISSION AND ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF THE CITY MANAGER’S CHANGE ORDER REPORT AND DIRECTING THE FILING THEREOF.

INFORMATION: City Council, in its meeting of November, 8, 2011, adopted Resolution R-1112-55 delegating administrative authority to the City Manager or his designee, at his discretion, to approve change order requests that result in adjustments up to forty thousand dollars ($40,000) or 10% of any contract, whichever is less. The resolution also required that the administrative approvals of change orders be reported to City Council with the City Manager’s Weekly Report, be placed on the agenda at the next regularly scheduled Council meeting, and then filed with the original contract in the permanent records of the City Clerk.
On May 12, 2015, City Council approved Contract K-1415-79 with Precision Concrete Cutting of Oklahoma, L.L.C., in the amount of $66,300 for the Core Area Sidewalk Repair Project which identified sidewalks that needed repairs in the area bounded by Main Street, Boyd Street, Flood Avenue, and the railroad right-of-way. The work began May 28, 2015, and was completed July 24, 2015.
Additional work was identified in the target area and Change Order No. One authorized additional saw cutting work with a net increase of $3,700 and extended the contract time by seven (7) days. The overall cost increase of 5.6% brings the total contract cost to a total of $70,000. City Council will consider final acceptance of this project in its meeting of September 9th.
Change Order No. One was submitted to the City Manager and approved administratively on August 13th. The item is now submitted to Council for informational purposes in accordance with Resolution R-1112-55.
