CONSIDERATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $500 FROM THE J.M WILLIAMS REVOCABLE TRUST TO THE NORMAN FIRE DEPARTMENT AND BUDGET APPROPRIATION.

BACKGROUND: Section 8-111 of the City Code requires that the City Council accept all donations valued greater than $250 received by the City prior to the use or disbursement of same. Therefore, it is requested that Council review and consider the following item for acceptance and use by the Norman Fire Department.
DISCUSSION: The Fire Department has received a donation of $500 from the J.M. Williams Revocable Trust. The money will be deposited into the Donation/Citizen revenue account to be used to make repairs to the Hurst rescue tool at Fire Station 7.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that City Council accept the donation of $500 from the J.M. Williams Revocable Trust to be used for repairing the Hurst rescue tool and the money be deposited into Donation/Citizen revenue account (010-0000-365.13-72) and appropriated to Maintenance and Repair/Plant and Operating Equipment (account 010-6443-422.42-11).
